“Mental health” I am sure you have heard this phrase used in countless social media messages and seems to on the increase as awareness if being raised of its importance to our general health. Initially I thought this is just a new buzz word which meant, “It’s all about me”, “I need to feel good about myself” and “take a day when I need a day”. As much as these statements ring true, it is a much more serious topic that deserves more attention. I hope that after reading this, I have helped you to understand more about what mental health is, and the benefits of taking care of your own mental health.

She said: “I think it’s really important to take the stigma away from mental health… My brain and my heart are really important to me. I don’t know why I wouldn’t seek help to have those things be as healthy as my teeth”
